July – half the year has gone – where?

These past 2 months have been a real challenge for me both physically and mentally. Having always been a person who sees ‘the glass half full’, I found myself on the other side of the glass, so to speak! My body letting me down and would not respond to all my tried and tested ‘old’ ways. If that wasn’t bad enough, my mind refused to co-operate and fight for me – mind over matter you know!

I know I’m in good company as adversity, disappointment and failure are familiar to all of us.  We make bold declarations to follow our dreams, launch our businesses, take on a new challenge etc. only to find that it’s not quite as simple or easy as we’d imagined.  We start to question ourselves and our hope starts to die.

As always, God took me gently and showed me this:

Take courage and get back to the basics

 believe that you can

accept what has passed/happened and what you have and who you are now

strengthen your resolve to be who you are and do what you can now

imagine your life now, who do you want to be, how do you want to look now

C  consciously take 1 step at a time towards who you desire to be

S  sing your own praises daily – you are your own best cheerleader

I encourage you to:

  • Leave your smile wherever you go
  • Be like a delicious taste of chocolate
  • Leave an exquisite fragrance
  • Spark hope and joy

Here’s to finding your renewed GLO
